Nutrition Services

Proper nutrition is one of the most important components of a healthy lifestyle. We believe that each individual should have an eating plan that is designed with their own likes, dislikes, and health requirements in mind. Loving food and living well – we can help make it happen!

Resting Metabolic Rate testing is now available at the UNC Wellness Centers! Learn how many calories your body burns at rest. Appointments are 30 minutes in length and include 10 minutes for the test and 20 minutes to discuss your personal results and nutrition goals. Your safety is our top priority. The machine is equipped with anti-viral adaptors and the dietitian who administers the test will be in full PPE for your protection.

Other Virtual Nutrition Services offered for members and non-members include:

  • New Member Nutrition Assessment: New members receive a free 30-minute session with a registered dietitian. If you have not yet taken advantage of this service, now is the perfect time to arrange a virtual session to help with your nutrition goals.
  • Individual Nutritional Counseling: Meet with a registered dietitian for a one-on-one session to discuss your nutritional concerns and nutrition meal planning.
  • Web Wellness: This 10-week program works with your busy schedule by offering regular support from the dietitian. The program starts with a virtual nutrition consultation and provides weekly support through email and other electronic tracking methods.
