Meet with the dietitian from the comfort of your own home! Proper nutrition is one of the most important components of a healthy lifestyle. We believe that each individual should have an eating plan that is designed with their own likes, dislikes, and health requirements in mind.

Virtual nutrition services available to members and non-members include:

  • New Member Nutrition Assessment: New members receive a free 30-minute session with a registered dietitian. If you have not yet taken advantage of this service, now is the perfect time to arrange a virtual session to help with your nutrition goals.
  • Individual Nutritional Counseling: Meet with a registered dietitian for a one-on-one session to discuss your nutritional concerns and nutrition meal planning.
  • Web Wellness: This 10-week program works with your busy schedule by offering regular support from the dietitian. The program starts with a virtual nutrition consultation and provides weekly support through email and other electronic tracking methods.

Get started by emailing Britt.Schuman-Humbert@unchealth.unc.edu or Elizabeth.watt@unchealth.unc.edu to schedule an appointment.

  • Virtual UNC Weight Management Support Group: A healthy lifestyle is easier to achieve when you’ve got support.  Losing weight is difficult and keeping it off even harder.  Join others for this monthly support group to find new ideas, vent your frustrations, and meet people with similar concerns when trying to lose weight and keep it off. Email Elizabeth.watt@unchealth.unc.edu for more information. Free for members and non-members.

Virtual sessions are done by Webex. Learn more about using Webex in this tutorial. https://help.webex.com/en-us/8bzter/Cisco-Webex-Meetings-Video-Tutorials
