Upcoming Talks:

July 7: 3 Simple Strategies to Build New Habits

We develop habits as a way to conserve mental energy. With the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, chances are some healthier habits have been interrupted.  In order to make changes or add new habits we need to clarify why we are wanting to make changes in the first place. Once we have a clear vision of what we want to accomplish, then we can identify the habits that are bringing us closer to that vision and modify the habits that are taking us further away from it. This is the key in order to create a new habit loop!

The main focus of this interactive session is:

  • Why habits are important
  • How to modify and change them
  • How to make habits stick

Special guest: Jacob Orndorff, CSCS, CSPS, a Personal Trainer for the UNC Wellness Center at NW Cary.  He is a strength and conditioning specialist that helps people bridge the gap from therapy to performance-based training.
