COVID-19 Update

As part of UNC Health and the Medical Fitness Association, our mission and values have always centered on providing a clean, safe and supportive environment to our staff, patients, members and guests.

At this time, a decision has been made by UNC Hospital leadership and UNC Hospital’s Infection Prevention team to follow the local guidelines for wearing masks. Face coverings are required in all areas of the UNC Wellness Centers of Meadowmont for anyone 2 years and older, regardless of vaccination status, except while in the whirlpool, lap pool, and therapy pool. As of October 29, 2021, face coverings are no longer required, yet are encouraged, in all indoor areas of the UNC Wellness Centers at Northwest Cary. We also encourage all Wellness Center members to continue to maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet apart, wash their hands often, and if you are not feeling well, do not enter the wellness center and contact your health provider immediately. Thank you for your compliance with this directive from the Town of Chapel Hill and this directive from the Town of Cary and for doing your part to keep each other well.
