Friday April 24, 2020

We all learned from Governor Cooper yesterday that the stay-at-home restrictions in North Carolina will continue through at least May 8th. Our Wellness Centers in the UNC system will remain closed until it is determined that it is safe to reopen with certain restrictions established by the State, County and UNC.

In the meantime, we are working with our colleagues and officials to make preparations for reopening. Once we get approval to open, we will communicate our plans to provide adequate social distancing and preventive health practices to provide a safer environment for our patrons and co-workers.

We appreciate your continued patience during this time and appreciate your support through the many donations you have made and your kind words. We certainly look forward to the day when we see you again at our centers.

Continue to stay safe and best wishes for good health,

 George Wayson

Director, UNC Wellness Centers
