Pedal for Peds

Thursday August 3, 2017

The UNC Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology is proud to present the 8th Annual Pedal for Peds Bike Ride. There are several ways to participate in Pedal for Peds 2017:  an open trail ride with 7, 10, 20, and 50 mile options, stationary bike rides at 9 am, 10 am, and 11 am, and Yoga at 10 am and 11 am.The UNC Wellness Centers has supported and hosted the annual Pedal for Peds event since 2014. This cause is near to hearts as it is a day of celebration dedicated to children battling cancer and blood diseases. We honor those that have survived cancer and take time to remember those that have lost their loved ones. It is dedicated to bringing awareness to childhood cancers and blood diseases. The funds raised from this event specifically benefit the families and caregivers that have been or are a part of our UNC Hospitals’ Pediatric Hematology Oncology division.  Saturday, September 23, 8:00 am-12:00 pm.

Please note: UNC Wellness Centers at NW Cary cancels all of our cycling and yoga classes to ensure that we have optimal staff to lead the cycling classes that are held for Pedal for Peds. In addition, we want to ensure the maximum number of bikes are available to fund raise for this cause.

We invite you to join us for the Pedal for Peds cycling classes being held at our Northwest Cary facility. The suggested donation to attend an indoor class is $30 and a Yoga class is $20. Cycling classes will be held at 9 am, 10 am, and 11 am. Yoga classes will be held at 10 am and 11 am. Registration is available online and also upon arrival, space permitted.
