Swim, bike, and run indoors! The goal is to cover as much distance as possible for each segment. Athletes can compete either individually or as 2 or 3 member relay teams. Athletes are placed into 6-member waves that will begin every 20 minutes. Athletes start in the pool where they will have 15 minutes to complete as many lengths as possible. Any stroke is allowed. After a 5 minute transition, they have 15 minutes to bike as far as they can on Life Fitness stationary bikes located in the clinical fitness area. After another 5 minute transition, athletes will run or walk as far as possible on treadmills. Distance is recorded in total mileage to the nearest tenth on the bikes and treadmills. Distance in the swim is calculated by a volunteer counting the number of completed pool lengths. The swim number is added to the total mileage from the bike and run to determine total race time. Children ages 9-17 must be signed in by an adult. Ages 9-13 must be accompanied by an adult during the race.
