Benefits of Morning Workouts

I am a big believer in morning workouts.  Get up, and get it done!  As the day progresses, we can all find a million reasons why we can’t make it to the gym; I’m too tired, I have to take my kids to soccer practice, I have to work late, etc.  As long as you don’t repeatedly hit the snooze button on the alarm, you are guaranteeing yourself that you will get a good workout in before life gets in the way.  Early morning cardio and strength training is an excellent way to clear your head and mentally prepare yourself for your day.  Another reason I enjoy morning workouts is because gym utilization is generally low.  The earlier you go; the better chance you have of making it through your workout without having to wait on others.  It is a great time to have your pick of cardio and strength equipment.  Finally, studies have shown that those who exercise in the morning sleep better and have a better chance of losing weight.  Exercise in the morning; get up and give it a try!
